founded in Naarm (melbourne, australia) during the 2020 lockdowns, van de kamp academy set out to design clothing that was inclusive, sensitive to sensory needs + cleaned up after itself for the environment. after more than a year of research + development, we ended up with an ongoing collection of australian made, durable + premium basics crafted to last a lifetime. literally. every garment comes eligible for our repair + recycling programs*
we're also australia's first carbon neutral fashion label certified by the australian government's 'climate active' program.
"if our garments and marketing materials don't reflect the diversity of the customers that we're accepting money from then we've failed." -head teacher, van de kamp academy
we do our part for mother nature by cleaning up after ourselves through our carbon neutral certification, keeping our local supply chains short + rebelling against wasteful fashion practices.
we also keep our garments out of landfill through our repair + recycling programs.
we're fair, equal + kind through our commitments to producing ethically made clothes that are australian made without harm to any person or living thing.
we're fighting for a world where everyone can feel welcome, represented + nobody is excluded.
